HVAC Service Technician II is responsible for maintaining an open, positive, and professional line of communication with customers, vendors, general contractors, internal customers, and trade partners. Must be able to properly startup, diagnose and repair issues on various types of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. Travel is required.
The technician will perform startup and testing of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning systems, and document all service activities. They must meet equipment startup deadlines, maintain vehicle inventory and cleanliness, follow company safety procedures, and provide technical direction and on‑the‑job training to customers.
A solid understanding of HVAC equipment operation, air‑duct distribution, and building automation systems is required. The role also demands the ability to read schematics, diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, braze copper refrigerant piping, work safely at elevations, and communicate effectively with coworkers and clients.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, OSHA 10 certification, and EPA certification, and have four to six years of relevant experience.
The position involves standing, walking, sitting, and frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 50 lb, as well as using hands and fingers to operate controls and communicate verbally or by telephone.
