The ICD Wear & Maintenance – Undercarriage Engineering team is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead complex design and development of undercarriage components for the EM and HEX product families. This role provides technical leadership in the design, analysis, and validation of critical systems such as rollers, idlers, and track structures, while maintaining a zero‑defect mindset and meeting program timelines and cost goals.
The Senior Engineer will develop design concepts and detailed drawings that satisfy functional, technical, cost, weight, and manufacturing requirements. They will support validation activities, lead NPI, CPI, and APQP initiatives, and collaborate closely with global engineering teams, suppliers, manufacturing facilities, quality, and program leaders. Additionally, the engineer will mentor junior staff, guide design decisions, and resolve issues arising from factory, field, or customer support.
Candidates must hold a degree from an accredited engineering program and possess expertise in Creo Parametric, Creo Simulate, Structural Stress, and Finite Element Analysis. Knowledge of undercarriage wear components, casting, forging, heat treatment, and experience with NPI/CPI programs are essential. The ideal applicant is a self‑starter, accountable, quality‑focused, and customer‑driven professional with strong teamwork and organizational skills.
This position is onsite five days a week at the Peoria, IL office, with up to 10% travel and relocation assistance available. Visa sponsorship is not offered. Compensation includes a competitive salary ranging from $112,710 to $169,060, an annual incentive bonus, comprehensive health benefits, paid time off, 401(k) savings, and numerous wellness and development programs.
