At WM, the Operations Specialist for Collections provides advanced clerical and administrative support to departmental managers and assists in coordinating all aspects of daily operations.
The Operations Specialist troubleshoots and resolves safety, service, and operational issues, maintains and distributes department‑related information daily, and communicates with supervisors and managers about operational matters. They act as the KRONOS proxy for daily driver and helper updates and use Microsoft Suite and other software to handle procurement, time‑and‑attendance, safety incidents, contract labor, payment processing, project implementation, and communication with customers and employees regarding service issues, scheduling, and work assignments.
Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, no prior work experience, being at least 18 years old, and legal eligibility to work in the job location. No preferred qualifications are listed.
The position operates primarily in a professional office environment and requires regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines.
The role may require air travel or access to federal property, so candidates must possess a REAL ID or an acceptable TSA‑approved alternative, or be willing to obtain one.
Eligible WM employees receive a competitive total compensation package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, a stock purchase plan, a 401(k) match, paid vacation, holidays, and personal days, though specific benefits may vary by site.
WM emphasizes that a job is more than a paycheck, offering opportunities for personal and family growth, a supportive culture, and resources that define the perks of being part of the WM family.
