Quality Control Lead

• Conduct quality inspections of timber frame components during all stages of the manufacturing process
• Maintain calibration of measurements tools and testing equipment
• Identify, document and communicate non-conformances or defects to production and quality teams.
• Will involve lifting and handling of timber components
• Take on an active role with Health & Safety and Environmental regulations within the company
• Verify that materials and products comply with design specifications, technical drawings and industry standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the factory (to include providing constructive feedback and training / presentations to the employees)
• Record and report inspection results accurately using QC checklist and internal reporting systems (Document, photograph, etc.)
• Assist with root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new company. The successful Candidate must have a willingness to learn and be open-minded as to the duties of the role. The candidate will be working closely with both the Design and Manufacturing Teams. Onsite interaction will require a close working relationship with the Erecting Team and the construction site's Head Foreman and Finishing Foreman. Being able to perform in a high paced environment, work from different locations and having an ability to multitask is essential.

• Full clean drivers license is essential
• Experience in Timber Frame or Offsite construction manufacturing
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawing and specifications
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Competent in the use of measuring instruments (eg tape measures, calipers, moisture meters)
• Holder of a Safe Pass
• Attention to detail and ability to identify defects or deviations.
• Use of PPE as required
• Comfortable using apps or picking up new software quickly
