As a field technician, you will provide operations and maintenance services for landfill‑gas collection systems to ensure maximum efficiency and regulatory compliance. The role involves independent daily work, routine on‑site monitoring, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and clear communication with supervisors and clients to guarantee project success. You will also document daily activities, coordinate corrective actions, and adhere to all safety policies and personal protective equipment requirements.
Candidates must hold a high‑school diploma or equivalent (an associate’s degree is preferred) and possess strong mechanical and technical aptitude. Proficiency with Windows Office applications, the ability to operate all‑terrain vehicles, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record are required. Applicants must be detail‑oriented, organized self‑starters capable of solving practical problems, and must pass pre‑employment drug screening, background checks, and motor‑vehicle record verification.
Preferred qualifications include prior landfill‑gas system experience, knowledge of environmental sampling techniques, OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification, and a pipe‑fusion certificate. Physical demands involve working outdoors in all weather conditions, lifting up to 50 lb, traveling overnight up to 30 % of the time, and using required personal protective equipment such as safety boots, vest, glasses, and gas monitoring gear.
