Enterprise Applications Manager

Description

• Define and drive the strategic direction for enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with the organization’s broader IT and business objectives.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Business Analysts and Application Specialists.
• Lead and oversee the implementation of solutions from inception to completion.
• Drive application-related change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions when implementing new solutions.

• Build strong relationships with business leaders to understand the business strategy and establish an applications roadmap that is responsive to the business’ vision & goals.

• Establish and refines goals, performance, and accountability measures to ensure DAVIS team is meeting timelines, working efficiently, and providing high levels of service delivery.
• Document business process and develop project charters. Responsible for execution of the application roadmap including projects and day-to-day operations.
• Communicate project status to various levels of management.
• Performs personnel administrative functions (e.g. recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training + professional development, supervising, evaluating, corrective counseling, providing professional development, etc.).
• Plan and manage enterprise applications projects, overseeing functional and technical aspects of the implementation effort using effective project management techniques.
• CHAMPIONS DAVIS BUSINESS – Consistently markets DAVIS business within the scope of their job; actively seeks and/or supports new business opportunities; actively builds relationships and encourages others to do the same
• Oversees relationships with key IT delivery partners and contracts.
• Oversee the entire application lifecycle, from selection and procurement to customization, implementation, maintenance, and retirement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Technology, or a related field*
• Understand and anticipate the direction of the business and industry trends to identify opportunities and make recommendations to support DAVIS’ future needs.
• Preference for specific experience deploying construction industry applications like CMiC and Procore*
• Ability to work in person (Rockville, MD) for the first 3-6 months and hybrid (2 days a week from home) thereafter, with reasonable flexibility
• Minimum of 5 years experience in enterprise solutions management with responsibility for strategy development and leading a group
• Expertise in business process analysis, requirements gathering, solution design and development*
• Operational construction industry experience (3+ years) with an understanding of construction processes including estimating, business development, project management, and financial management is preferred
• Demonstrated project management skills with a track record of successfully managing complex, enterprise-wide projects*
