Lead and manage a team of engineers in delivering highway design and urban infrastructure development projects in the Middle East, with a focus on the UAE and experience in delivering mountainous road design projects.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, technicians and apprentices within your own discipline working on a variety of projects.
Responsible for the coordinated technical delivery, reporting and associated governance of the projects.
Drive continual improvement of our deliverables by using digital delivery tools, Lessons Learned from other projects and Clients’ feedback.
Help development of the team through the delivery of projects and commissions, providing technical and administrative support and leadership where required.
Responsible for the preparation of feasibility studies, technical reports, detailed designs, and production of contract documents across a variety of projects.
Actively engage in business development at Jacobs.
Help to maintain a highly motivated team with specific attention to safety and well-being.
Assist with the technical development of more junior staff.
Implement improvement measures and share good practice as applicable.

Minimum of 15 years’ experience in highway and infrastructure design
It is desirable to be a member of a relevant professional institution with a sound understanding of engineering management principles and application in a highway’s environment.
Experience of using AutoCAD and Civil3D design software.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Middle East and in particular the UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi) Road design standards, regulations, and best practices in the region
Experience in delivering projects in ACC Docs, BIM360, ProjectWise and BIM common data environments, application of Navisworks, Revizto, Infraworks, and similar 3D modelling tools for design and clash detection would be advantageous.
Extensive experience in delivering large scale highway design and urban infrastructure development projects in the Middle East and the UAE. Candidate with prior experience in delivering mountainous road design projects will be preferred.
Previous experience and knowledge of Road Safety Audit will be an advantage.
Bachelor's or master's Degree (or equivalent Degree)
Hands-on experience in local authorities’ NOC/ permit/approval processes in the UAE.
The candidate shall possess good technical report writing skills.
Good communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
In-depth knowledge of the local authority procedure, roads/highways manuals, standards and regulations in the middle east.
