The Marketing Manager will be responsible for crafting compelling narratives from complex technical information, coordinating marketing collateral, supporting pre‑interview planning, and developing innovative strategies that position ZGF as an industry leader. They will also conduct research on clients, competitors, and market trends, maintain industry contacts, and centralize business development information.
- Develop strategic responses to RFPs, proposals, and presentations in collaboration with leadership.
- Write and craft cohesive narratives from complex technical information.
- Create and manage content marketing initiatives and innovative communication approaches.
- Coordinate preparation of statements of interest, proposals, SF330 forms, collateral, and marketing correspondence.
- Participate in pre‑interview planning, presentation rehearsals, and apply win strategies to materials.
- Design innovative marketing strategies that differentiate ZGF and position it as an industry leader.
- Continuously seek learning opportunities, new approaches, and best practices to enhance marketing efforts.
- Identify growth opportunities by monitoring industry trends and emerging markets.
- Assign work, track progress, and ensure projects meet quality, timeliness, and cost standards.
- Research clients, competitors, and market trends to inform marketing plans and proposals.
- Build and maintain a network of industry contacts to generate leads and gather intelligence.
- Support team members with marketing assignments for meetings, interviews, speaking engagements, etc.
- Centralize business development information, including leads, contacts, and event schedules.
- Share timely information among team members and manage decisions in business development pursuits.
- Explore workflow and technology improvements without compromising quality.
- Attend community and industry events and conferences.
- Submit cover letter, resume, and portfolio with writing and proposal samples online.

ZGF is seeking a Marketing Manager to join our Seattle office. We are looking for creative, passionate, and strategic thinkers. This role will work closely with leadership to develop strategic responses to RFPs, proposals, and presentations.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, or a design‑related field, and has at least five years of relevant experience, preferably in the A/E/C industry. Strong writing, editing, graphic design sensibilities, and proficiency in InDesign (plus Illustrator, Photoshop, Deltek Vision, Axomic OpenAsset) are required. Experience managing and mentoring teams, excellent interpersonal skills, and a collaborative attitude are essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, or design‑related field.
- Minimum 5 years of marketing/communications experience, preferably in A/E/C industry.
- Excellent written and oral communication, editing, proofreading, and graphic design skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities to work with peers and senior leadership.
- Proven ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
- Superior organizational skills, multitasking, and meeting tight deadlines with accuracy.
