Training Development Specialist- Kiewit Power Constructors

Description

• Act as a consultant during business planning to incorporate solutions to identified training gaps
• Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
• Hold projects accountable to rotations program, training plans and People Wall management
• Responsible for coordination and continuous improvement of the Power New Hire and Core Course programs:
• Work closely with the Power Market HR Business Partners to execute the Training Plan outlined on the District Business Plan
• Use data-driven analysis to identify training gaps and areas of improvement
• Responsible for the development of the District Development Plan
• Partner with corporate Talent Development to execute established staff and craft training programs in the districts
• Travel up to 50% of the time to facilitate on-site training
• Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.

Requirements

• Field Engineering Training
• Regular, reliable attendance
• Construction operations experience is helpful for this role.
• Project Engineer Training
• Senior Operations Training
• Experience in delivering presentations, experience in delivering training in-person, virtual and hybrid classrooms preferred
• 5+ years of experience working in a leadership role, training and developing individuals
• Ability to confidently speak and teach in the classroom environment
• Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
• Work productively and meet deadlines timely
• Strong team player and attitude to help others
• Excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills
• Various experience in operations, learning management and/or teaching preferred.
• Fundamental understanding of the Adult Learning Model preferred
