The Training Coordinator is responsible for delivering employee development programs, coordinating with trainees and operations, and providing feedback to refine training materials. Responsibilities include preparing training rooms, creating and maintaining training materials, and managing the training reference library. All training activities are recorded in the ABM University Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure compliance with personnel training requirements.
Key duties include assessing training needs, selecting instructional methods, and ensuring a conducive learning environment. The coordinator facilitates sessions, utilizes evaluation tools to measure effectiveness, and adjusts delivery methods as needed. Coordination with operations leadership and clients ensures availability of facilities and audio‑visual equipment, while promotional materials such as fliers and handouts support class enrollment.
The role requires maintaining accurate records of attendance, program utilization, and evaluation metrics, as well as managing the inventory and usage logs of the training reference library. Physical demands involve standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds for significant portions of the shift, with work performed both inside and outside the airport terminal under various weather conditions and moderate noise levels.
Essential knowledge and skills include principles of adult education, relevant federal, state, and local regulations, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, audiovisual equipment, and standard office devices. The coordinator must communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, perform basic math calculations, and apply common‑sense reasoning to follow instructions and solve problems. Compliance with ABM grooming standards, badge requirements, and all company policies—including zero‑tolerance discrimination, harassment, retaliation, ethics, and security policies—is mandatory.
The position offers an hourly wage starting at $17.00, with the final rate depending on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market data. Employees become eligible for personal 401(k) contributions after 30 days and for the company match after six months, with a dollar‑for‑dollar match on the first 3% of contributions and a $0.50 per dollar match on the next 2%, all immediately vested. ABM also provides a comprehensive benefits package accessible via the company benefits portal.
