Co-create regular dashboards and reports for senior management and security leadership.
Identify skill gaps and training needs; promote professional growth through mentoring and certification support.
Identify inefficiencies in existing operational workflows and propose enhancements.
Define and track key operational metrics (MTTD, MTTR, incident volumes, false positive rates, analyst workload).
Foster a positive, collaborative team culture that emphasises accountability, learning, and innovation.
Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for repeatable tasks.
Support resource planning, workload distribution, and on-call arrangements.
Deputise for the Security Operations Manager when required.
Stay current with emerging threats, detection techniques, and security technologies.
Oversee daily operational activities within the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Cyber Operations team.
Promote a culture of feedback and lessons learned after incidents and operational challenges.

Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM or equivalent.
Experience in metrics gathering, reporting, and presenting findings to leadership.
Track record of team leadership, coaching, or people management.
8 years+ proven experience leading SOC or NOC functions.
Strong understanding of security technologies and management tools.
Demonstrated experience in process improvement or operational optimisation.
Knowledge of threat intelligence, incident response, and digital forensics.
Strong knowledge of security monitoring, detection, and response processes.
Bachelor's degree in cyber security or related field (or equivalent experience).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — able to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
Experience managing outsourced SOC, NOC or MSSP relationships
Ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams in high-pressure environments.
