

Provides engineering, planning, and consulting services across various infrastructure sectors.
The primary purpose of this position is to efficiently execute drafting and analysis for utility‑scale and commercial PV design projects, and to occasionally serve as Project Manager in collaboration with a team of engineers and various stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include leading the design and development of electrical plan sets, performing final reviews and PE approval for PV and energy storage systems, conducting system modeling and electrical studies, supervising contractors, and coordinating with utilities and sub‑consultants. The engineer will also generate construction documents, report project status to senior management, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards while mentoring junior staff.
The role involves both indoor office work and occasional outdoor field activities, requiring mobility, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and travel to job sites. Employees must be prepared for varied lighting, noise, weather conditions, and use of personal protective equipment as needed.

Qualifications required are a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, at least three years of solar PV experience, progress toward a Professional Engineer license, NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professional status, and high proficiency in AutoCAD. Experience with medium‑voltage design, PVsyst/Helioscope/Homer, shading analysis, and energy storage design is highly desirable, along with strong Microsoft Office skills.
