  • Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failure and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. These problems include capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with Planner and Maintenance Supervisor to effectively execute planned downtime and outages.
  • Lead Preventive and Predictive Maintenance optimization.
  • Participates in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical MRO suppliers and technical maintenance service providers.
  • Monitor and track line equipment availability land operating efficiency issues and creates “pareto” type analysis to identify key equipment problems / failures / areas using internal software.
  • Conduct analysis and perform Root Cause Analysis on equipment failures that significantly affect product quality, equipment uptime and plant capacity. Report conclusions to leadership and make recommendations for improved programs and practices intended to prevent similar failures.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving, decision making, organization and analytical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance programs and the tools associated with failure detection/analysis.
  • Specific education/experience in aluminum industry is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial or mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in maintenance and reliability, production management, engineering or operations experience.
  • CRI: Continuous Reliability Improvement thru predictive measures
  • Needs to be able to work with all types of Allen-Bradley Controllers, HMI, Drives and Safety Devices
