The company is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician (Heavy Duty Mechanic) – Off‑Road, positioned at the journeyperson level with the potential to consider third‑year apprentices.
- Must provide a full complement of hand tools, a reliable personal vehicle, and CSA‑approved steel‑toed boots with 6‑inch ankle support.
- Pre‑employment: drug/alcohol testing, company and site‑specific orientation, fitness‑to‑work assessment.
- Qualification: Red Seal Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (Off‑Road) or equivalent; 5–10 years of experience; off‑road experience required; third‑year apprentices in good standing with AIT considered.
- Required experience with CAT E.T. and S.I.S. and/or Komatsu; CAT scraper experience is a plus.
- Ability to read, troubleshoot, and diagnose hydraulic and electronic schematics; must demonstrate exceptional organization and cleanliness.
