Complete applicable company and client required health & safety training and follow health &safety policies and procedures
Coordinate with laboratories, clients, subcontractors, thirdparty stakeholders
Provide oversight of subcontractors including drillers, utility locators, etc., including overseeing advancement of soil and rock borings, installation of groundwater monitoring wells, soil excavation projects
Conduct desktop projectrelated research (e.g., historic data, regulations, literature reviews)
Complete hazardous building materials assessments for designated substances including asbestos, lead, PCBs, mercury, ozonedepleting substances, and mould.
Where necessary, work independently, connecting with senior personnel as required for clarity and guidance
Complete hazardous material abatement/remediation assessments and air monitoring.
Complete aquifer testing, water level measurements, and elevation surveying
Prepare soil boring logs and well construction details
Support the development of proposals and participate in other business development activities
Complete site inspections for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
Completion of fieldwork, including installation of groundwater monitoring wells, groundwater monitoring and sampling, soil characterization and sampling, and soil vapour/indoor air sampling
Perform and document field data collection activities (including oversight of subcontractors); assist in the completion of project level work (data management, report preparation)

Knowledge of relevant local provincial and federal environmental legislation and policies is an asset
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Engineering, Science, Forestry, or related field OR Technician or Technologist Diploma, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
Experience using field equipment, including GISrelated mobile data collection tools
Good driving record and valid driver’s license required
However, individuals with 1 year or less of work experience or equivalent (e.g. work coops, travel or other experience) should not be discouraged from applying.
Detailed knowledge of field sampling techniques
High attention to detail and accuracy of field notes
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), and technical writing skills
Demonstrate ability to analyze field and technical data, and draft technical reports following established standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines to complete assignments
Willingness to learn new skills, have flexibility in undertaking work assignments and capable of handling multiple assignments
Minimum of 2 years’ work experience.
A willingness to travel and periodically work extended hours
Able to work effectively in a team atmosphere and independently as required
