Answer the team's technical questions on architecture, design, and the industry standards needed.
Establish relationships with key stakeholders in the organization, across different geographies, that are relevant to the domain.
May be required to visit construction sites, including going on flat commercial roofs, (visits will be facilitated by professional crews).
Report on progress to management, orally and in presentation form.
Participate in the integration efforts once prototypes are made available in the systems engineering labs, including communication and power testing efforts.
Apply principles of Systems Engineering to drive the architecture and development of new storage and PV solutions for C&I markets.
Author the systems requirement document (SRD) along with architectural documents including but not limited to the interface documents, sequence diagrams and integration plans.
Participate in design reviews of the individual components that go into the design.
Work on designing and building test setups in the lab.
Investigate future technologies.
Occasional travel within the US to other locations, partners, vendors, conferences...etc.

Ability to visit sites and in the field and perform necessary repairs / data collection if needed.
Minimum of B.Sc. with 2+ years’ experience in an electrical / electronics field. Alternatively, an advanced degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) with no experience.
Ability to carry, lift and move objects including above head level.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong hands-on experience in the lab.
Experience developing systems that have a mix of HW/FW and embedded SW.
Experience in renewable energy systems.
Experience in Power electronics design.
Good understanding of AC and DC circuits.
Knowledge of C&I building management systems.
Highly motivated, energetic, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong SW programming skills including C/C++ and Python.
Ability to use motor skills in wiring, soldering or assembling objects without supervision.
Knowledge of C&I solar and storage design and installation.
Experience with SunSpec and Modbus.
