Delivery consultants & construction experts transforming visions into built reality.
Client Focus means delivering key assignments from brief through design, procurement and construction, overseeing project management on behalf of external clients, maintaining robust quality systems and supporting senior leaders to achieve project milestones and KPIs.
Integrity requires fiscal and ethical responsibility for project budgets, ensuring compliance with organisational and legislative obligations, and influencing long‑term strategy for the business unit.
Creating opportunity involves leading the team, developing staff, networking and applying best practices from Mace’s Centres of Excellence, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders up to C‑suite level to implement programmes.
Within Mace’s consultancy business we combine practical expertise with project delivery consultancy to unlock potential in every project. Our Transportation team in Northern Ireland is expanding, and we are seeking an Associate Project Director for the Rail team on a full‑time permanent contract. The role requires three days a week in the Belfast office with ad‑hoc travel to nearby sites.
Safety First is a core value; the Associate Project Director will champion exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability and compliance, and possess advanced knowledge of local health‑and‑safety regulations.
The role requires at least ten years of experience in civil engineering and rail infrastructure projects, strong project management and delivery skills, contract administration experience, and preferably NEC accreditation. Candidates must hold an appropriate CSCS card (or local equivalent), possess tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience, and have professional membership such as RICS, CIOB, APM or ICE.
Mace is an inclusive employer that welcomes diverse candidates, offers flexible, part‑time and hybrid working options where suitable, and encourages employee referrals through its referral scheme.
