Key responsibilities include providing leadership within the project management practice, line management and mentorship, hiring and retaining talent, managing project finances and portfolio audits, ensuring staff training and chartership support, and maintaining client relationships. The Director will also lead multi‑disciplinary commissions, pursue business development opportunities, and oversee bid and fee proposals through internal governance.
The ideal candidate brings extensive public and private sector experience, deep project management expertise within a construction consultancy, and proven leadership in growing teams. A track record of winning new work, delivering complex projects, and managing pre‑ and post‑contract services is essential, along with strong client networks, interpersonal skills, and a commitment to service excellence.
Required qualifications include a construction‑related degree, chartered status with RICS, CIOB or APM, and preferably NEC4 accreditation. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work across service lines and drive thought leadership in the industry.
