Safety Technician

Description

The Safety Technician ensures a safe and healthy work environment by collaborating with employees, supervisors, and management to identify, evaluate, and eliminate safety hazards. Responsibilities include creating and implementing safety programs, providing training, and conducting inspections.

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs compliant with regulations.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, and operations for hazards.
• Provide regular safety training to employees and management.
• Write Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and conduct related training.
• Investigate accidents to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Monitor workplace safety performance and give feedback.
• Maintain safety records and documentation.
• Create safety incentive programs.
• Assist in developing safety budgets.

Requirements

• Hold a Safety Technical degree; Bachelor's in occupational safety preferred.
• 1–3 years of safety experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bilingual ability preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
