MECHANIC

Description

• Troubleshoot and diagnose needed repairs for all items of equipment
• Work with conveyor systems
• Conduct heavy equipment mechanic tasks
• Handle gas, diesel, and hydraulic repairs
• Maintain records and fulfill related administrative requirements
• Perform small engine repairs (gas)

Requirements

• Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing vehicles while following safety protocols
• Be well-trained and certified in Lock-out and tag-out procedures
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and the capability to operate a motor vehicle
• Strong skills in active listening, problem-solving, and communication
• Ability to analyze heavy equipment malfunctions and apply appropriate fixes
• Loud noise level in the work environment
• Proficiency with hand tools and related equipment
• Self-motivated, independent, reliable, and possessing a strong work ethic
• Moderate to high risk of safety precautions
• Be trained and certified in confined space requirements
• Moderate to high exposure to unusual elements
• Usage of various hand tools and controls
• Regular standing, twisting, and walking
• Ability to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, squat, crouch, or crawl
• Involvement in medium to heavy manual, physical labor regularly
• Work in wet, hot, humid, wintry conditions, and ability to work outside year-round
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
