The Director of Assisted Living (DoAL) leads the assisted living program, sharing responsibility for community success by managing day‑to‑day operations, planning, implementing, and evaluating the program and its budget. The role includes resident assessments, care‑plan development, and acting as liaison with healthcare providers, hospitals, and community organizations. The DoAL also collaborates with the Executive Director and HR on hiring, evaluations, merit increases, disciplinary actions, and terminations in line with policies and laws.
The DoAL works as a team member to deliver resident services, participates in meetings and projects, and coordinates care with the Enliven Director and sales team. Responsibilities include developing resident service plans, communicating with families, healthcare providers, and the Business Office, and monitoring key performance indicators. The role also involves recruiting, hiring, supervising staff, overseeing medication administration, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting wellness and activity programs.
- Lead and manage daily operations of the assisted living program.
- Develop, update, and implement resident care plans and service plans.
- Conduct resident assessments and coordinate pre‑move‑in evaluations with sales.
- Liaise with healthcare providers, hospitals, pharmacists, and families.
- Collaborate with the Enliven Director and Executive Director on resident care.
- Review level‑of‑care charges with Business Office to align billing and services.
- Monitor key performance indicators and ensure compliance with policies.
- Recruit, interview, hire, orient, and supervise staff and club coordinators.
- Oversee medication administration, storage, and distribution per state law.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold resident and employee rights.
- Support resident‑centered wellness, activities, and club programs.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with local, state, federal, and accrediting regulations.

The ideal candidate holds a current nursing license and has experience in health, human services, or community services. Required skills include strong organization, communication, leadership, and the ability to interpret regulations and compliance standards.
