The Business Process Owner is responsible for overseeing the optimization and integration of business processes related to operational data. The role acts as the primary liaison between data management teams, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and consistency across the organization.
In Business Process Management, the owner continuously improves processes to enhance efficiency and quality, monitors process blockers, adjusts corresponding data, and troubleshoots data workflow issues.
The role works with Data Governance to establish practices that ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance, defines and documents operational data processes, standards, and best practices, drives data quality controls, and manages remediation of data audits and validations.
As the primary point of contact, the owner collaborates with Data Governance, IT Business Partners, Data Analysts, and Business Units to align data initiatives with organizational goals, works cross‑functionally to drive improvements, and provides training and support on data processes to end users.
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Management, Information Systems, or a related field is required, along with at least five years of experience in data management, process improvement, or a similar role. Experience in manufacturing environments and LOG function ownership, a proven track record of driving process improvements and data quality initiatives, hands‑on SAP ERP experience, and project management skills are highly desirable.
