Accounts Payable Specialist

• Maintain accurate and organized AP records and documentation
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation
• Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors regarding payment status and invoice inquiries
• Match purchase orders with invoices and verify receipt of goods/services
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or billing issues
• Review, code, and process a high volume of invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
• Assist in month-end closing procedures, including accruals and reconciliations
• Prepare and execute weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the company’s outgoing payments, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting the financial operations of the organization. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

• Experience in a shared services or high-volume environment
• Knowledge of 3-way match processes and ERP systems
• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
