Reporting to the Logistics Development Manager, you will play a key role in developing warehouse and logistics processes and systems across all operational functions of the Distribution Center. A “Utility Player” – you are a well-rounded industrial engineer who utilizes various analytical tools and methodologies to improve efficiency/productivity for Epiroc. These tools include histograms, time studies, Kaizen events, and PFEP (Plan for every part) analysis. Skilled at value stream mapping, capacity planning, facility design, and layout optimization, you will use your project management skills and mathematical mindset to understand the current processes and procedures and will improve them.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including ability to perform V-lookups, and pivot table experience
- University degree in Industrial Engineering
- Solid organization and follow up skills
- Minimum two+ years’ work experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Experience working with a warehouse management system (WMS)
- Capacity assessment and planning ability
- Ability to transfer knowledge: educate others on newly implemented processes/ways of working
- Understanding of Metrics and KPI’s as well as how to impact them
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proactive focus and approach to problem identification and resolution
- Ability to manage and self-prioritize multiple simultaneous competing demands effectively
- A penchant for quality with working knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001
- Proven technical skills:
- Process-focused mindset specifically geared toward continuous improvement opportunities
- Drive improvement independently and be an innovator of new ways of working
