Associate or Senior Associate - Bridges

Description

• Oversee construction activities and provide clear and concise advice to Clients and Contractors to ensure the quality of construction
• Manage projects. This will involve coordinating people, facilities and resources within tight timelines and in line with budgetary constraints
• Demonstrate, promote and communicate BG&E Values
• Builds high-level strategic relationships with clients, collaborators, government, and industry peer groups, within and beyond the Region.
• Guide graduates and engineers in their career journey
• Manage and contribute to the design of projects that leave a significant legacy for our community
• Promotes added value to clients and spots new business opportunities
• Advising on bridge engineering design solutions from concept design through to construction, maintenance, and closure
• Engage with other Sectors and to look for opportunities to engage with other groups
• Actively promote the use of best practices throughout the team and beyond and utilise technology where appropriate to improve the quality and efficiency of the work
• Contribute to the development of others through sharing expertise
• Create a culture of continuous improvement by challenging to status quo and promoting the use of technical expertise and innovation
• Oversee project management activities

Requirements

• Ability to communicate with people at all levels in both technical and non-technical environments
• Relevant engineering qualifications and be a Chartered Engineer
• Understands the terms and conditions within contracts and works within these parameters
• Excellent attention to detail along with high-level verbal and written communication skills
• Understands fee/budget and ensures cost-effective solutions to maximise profit and cash flow
• Demonstrated ability to manage large projects and/or oversee a portfolio of smaller projects take the lead in developing new business opportunities.
• Around 10 to 15 years of experience in bridge engineering design across a wide range of projects
• The ability to lead and mentor graduates and engineers and contribute to their career development.
