The incumbent will manage and coordinate MTU engine failure investigations and field tests, reporting findings to Rolls‑Royce Solutions America. Responsibilities include supervising NALA Labs, overseeing critical field, production and test failure analyses, providing component evaluations for global R&D projects, and defining investigation processes consistent with global policies.
Additional duties involve supporting technical service in prioritizing failures, leading customer‑concern meetings, assessing and developing staff competence, initiating capital improvement projects, and determining staffing, training, and resource requirements to meet departmental and corporate objectives. The role also requires maintaining lab equipment, safety practices, records of engine failures, and promoting a compliance culture.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical, Industrial or Materials Engineering and possess at least five years (or nine years of equivalent experience) in metallurgy, mechanical, materials or quality engineering.
