Quality Control Executive

Description

The QC Executive will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming and outgoing materials at the Livspace Bangalore (Soukya) warehouse meet prescribed quality standards, correct specifications, and packaging SOPs. The role involves thorough inspection of wall panels, tiles, lighting products, and other interior materials to maintain high fulfilment accuracy and customer satisfaction. The QC Executive will coordinate closely with warehouse, procurement, and installation teams to prevent defects, reduce return rates, and maintain inventory integrity.

• Ensure packaging integrity—correct labels, protective materials, carton condition, palletisation standards, and barcode compliance.
• Participate in periodic audits and contribute to root-cause analysis for repeated defects
• Conduct final QC before material dispatch for customer projects.
• Coordinate with procurement/supply to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely closure of quality issues.
• Validate SKU correctness, pick accuracy, quantity accuracy, and project-specific BOQ compliance.
• Follow Livspace QC standards, material handling SOPs, and warehouse safety protocols.
• Perform detailed inspection of incoming materials (wall panels, louvers, PVC sheets, tiles, lights, hardware, etc.).
• Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure error-free shipments.
• Inspect goods for any visible defects before dispatch and ensure appropriate packing as per SOPs (edge protection, bubble wrap, shrink wrap, corner guards, etc.).
• Identify and quarantine defective/damaged items; raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) with vendors and internal teams.
• Provide feedback and data to category, supply, and vendor teams for quality improvement.
• Maintain accurate logs of all inward and outward QC checks.
• Check for physical defects, colour variations, damages, warping, moisture issues, surface scratches, and manufacturing defects.
• Verify quantity, SKU codes, dimensions, finishes, and batch details against purchase orders and GRNs.
• Ensure that GRNs, NCRs, and DOs are documented thoroughly.
• Ensure correct tagging, labeling, and documentation for dispatch.
• Recommend improvements in packaging, handling, and storage to minimise damage.
• Update QC dashboards, daily reports, rejection records, damage logs, and replacement requests.

• Graduate (Diploma/ITI in Civil, Mechanical, or related fields is a plus)
• 1–3 years of experience in warehouse QC, material handling, or quality inspection—preferably in interior products, building materials, or e-commerce fulfilment
• Process-driven and quality-focused mindset.
• Familiarity with warehouse systems (WMS) is an advantage.
