The Civil Designer will play a critical role in designing and managing infrastructure projects, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, roads, utilities, and site layouts. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and others to ensure designs meet project requirements, local regulations, and industry standards.
- Create accurate models and drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software
- Stay updated on changes to engineering regulations and environmental policies
- Work closely with project managers and other engineering disciplines
- Implement the latest design technologies and methodologies for efficient workflows
- Support the creation of permits and other compliance-related documentation
- Provide technical support during project planning and construction phases
- Review and revise designs to resolve any errors or omissions before submission
- Develop detailed design plans for land development, site design, infrastructure, drainage systems, and site development
- Maintain accurate documentation for all design revisions and updates
- Ensure designs meet project specifications and adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure all design deliverables meet company and client standards for accuracy and detail
- Prepare documentation for regulatory submissions and address compliance issues as necessary
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, reports, and specifications
- Ensure that all designs comply with local, state, and federal engineering codes and standards
- Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on designs, specifications, and calculations
- Utilize Civil 3D and other design tools for project development

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and project lifecycle
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Problem-solving skills
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Experience with Civil 3D and other civil engineering design software
