MEP Commercial Lead

Description

• Having full budgetary oversight and ensuring operations are fiscally and ethically viable and meet organisational and legislative compliance obligations.
• Championing a diverse and inclusive working environment and understanding the importance of the wellbeing of the people you manage.
• Mentoring, coaching and developing your project team and provide an environment to share knowledge and experience.
• Influencing long-term development of strategy for a function or Business Unit (BU), creating a sustainable business future.
• Directing and supervising delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives.
• Being responsible for key client relationship management and converting the client’s vision into a deliverable onsite plan.
• Providing expert technical advice and leadership support to Delivery Teams, creating a culture of ownership, promoting roles and responsibilities.
• Advocating Mace's value of Safety First, and being accountable for leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability and project compliance standards.
• Actively networking, innovating and seeking understanding of best practice, utilising the full depth of knowledge of Mace group, the centres of excellence, Mace way control centre and knowledge hub.
• Owning the relationship and acting as primary contact for Mace executive team engagement, and being responsible for ensuring efficient governance to achieve our strategic priorities.

Requirements

• Deep construction and MEP commercial management expertise.
• Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the data centre or high-tech construction sector.
• Membership of MCIOB / MAPM / MRICS / MICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
• Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
• Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
• Strong MEP commercial and financial acumen.
• Possessing advanced technical expertise in local Health and Safety rules and regulations relevant to project portfolio.
• Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
