The assembler will perform assembly and sub‑assembly of machine modules, including electrics, hydraulics, and cabins, using hand and power tools. They will inspect incoming materials and completed assemblies for quality, conformance to drawings, and functional operation. Interpreting schematics, blueprints and other technical documents, they will identify defective items and follow standard operating procedures and bills of materials.
Safety is a core responsibility; the assembler must comply with Sandvik Mining safety policies and applicable regulations, conduct risk assessments before each task, and report unsafe habits or incidents. Maintaining tools, ensuring housekeeping, attending EHS training, and wearing required PPE are required.
Candidates need a technical diploma or certification in mechanical trades and 1‑2 years of equipment manufacturing experience. They must be able to read schematics, understand hand tools, fasteners and fittings, work effectively in a team, and communicate clearly. Forklift and overhead crane experience is considered an asset.
