What you would be doing
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
- Evaluate carrier performance and negotiate rates for freight shipments.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking when needed.
- Coordinate daily shipping operations and ensure timely deliveries.
- Address any customer inquiries or complaints related to shipping and logistics.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and accounting, to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate with carriers, warehouses, and customers to track shipments and resolve any issues.
- Schedule pickup and delivery appointments and arrange transportation modes.
- Run allocation and distribute orders to the warehouse team.
- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory using computer systems.
