Requirements

• Skilled in managing day-to-day operations of medium to large teams (20+), with a focus on quality assurance, process improvement, and delivery against key milestones; comfortable leading teams through change, embedding new processes, and driving innovation
• Proven ability to inspire, coach, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
• Ability to shape team direction, align with organisational goals, and anticipate future challenges and opportunities
• Strong project & programme management expertise and experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programmes
• Understanding of Ireland’s electricity market is desirable, including the Capacity Market and Renewable Energy Support Schemes, as well as familiarity Ireland’s Climate Action Plan and broader EU state-aid energy policies
• Typically with a minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in the energy industry, ideally with exposure to electricity markets or regulatory environments.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal teams, government bodies, regulators, and market participants
• Understanding of executing deliverables under regulatory and governance frameworks, standards, and audit requirements; ability to interpret complex data, assess risks, and make informed judgements under pressure
• Bachelor's degree or other relevant degree in Engineering, Finance, Commerce, Business Management, Risk Management or a related discipline
