Maintenance Inspection Manager (Mechanical)

Description

• Serve as the primary on-site technical authority and customer-facing expert for mechanical matters.
• Lead detailed inspections and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with mechanical, quality, and safety standards.
• Ensure all mechanical works align with technical specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and contractual requirements.
• Mentor and develop field service teams in mechanical best practices and safe working methods.
• Apply deep mechanical knowledge of solid-fuelled power plant technology.
• Support tendering and cost modelling by estimating manpower and technical requirements.
• Support audits, customer reviews, and internal compliance processes.
• Provide expert direction on dismantling, assembly, installation, and maintenance tasks.
• Plan and execute mechanical service and project activities safely, on time, and on budget using both direct and subcontracted teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation including maintenance records, inspection reports, time sheets, and incident logs.
• Ensure all reporting supports traceability, compliance, and technical accuracy.
• Identify, report, and help resolve mechanical deviations or issues impacting performance or scope.
• Support a strong performance culture built on safety, quality, and teamwork.
• Drive improvements to maintenance processes, cost efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and technical development initiatives across service operations.
• Represent Kanadevia Inova professionally on-site, ensuring exceptional customer engagement and satisfaction.
• Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Account Managers, Technical Services, BL WtX, and Pools to coordinate work execution.
• Conduct troubleshooting, diagnosis, and maintenance on grate and combustion equipment.
• Enforce strict adherence to QHSE standards through inductions, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.

Requirements

• Proven experience in hands-on mechanical inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance management.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the designated region.
• Familiar with grates and grate technology and used to driving works at site. Ideally.
• Technically strong with excellent judgement and problem-solving ability.
• Effective leader with strong communication and mentoring skills.
• Customer-focused, proactive, and adaptable in demanding site environments.
• Fluent in the local language and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Mid-to-senior level experience in mechanical maintenance, field service, or operations—ideally within Power Plants, Waste-to-Energy, or industrial facilities.
• Higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with matrix organisations and digital field service/maintenance management tools.
• Strong QHSE mindset with unwavering commitment to safe working practices.
