Project Cost Controller

Global Oracle‑focused consultancy delivering cloud, on‑premises, managed services and industry software.
Monitor, control, and forecast project costs to ensure delivery within budget.
Produce clear and concise financial reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders using Office365 tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Track actual costs against forecast budgets, identifying variances and potential issues early.
Monitor and report on timesheets and project costs, ensuring all expenditure is logged and invoiced correctly.
Support the administration of change requests from a financial perspective: updating approved changes to project budgets, re-baselining budgets, and tracking all related costs.
Assist with financial-based replanning, including ‘what-if’ scenario modelling to support informed decision-making.
Work in close partnership with Project Managers and PMO to highlight cost overruns or risks, and initiate or follow through on mitigating actions to keep budgets on track.
Ensure that all project financial information is accurate, up-to-date and complies with internal standards and client requirements.
Input and maintain project budgets and resource forecasts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Professional Services experience is essential.
Experience of global project delivery with multiple currencies is required.
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
High proficiency with Office365, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working closely alongside Project Managers and cross-functional teams.
Experience within the Oracle technology ecosystem or IT services sector is a plus.
Proven ability to assist with financial-based replanning and scenario modelling.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office365 applications, especially Excel (financial modelling, pivot tables, advanced formulas) and PowerPoint (preparing clear and impactful presentations).
Demonstrable experience working on global projects, including managing budgets and costs across multiple currencies.
Solid proven experience in a similar project cost control or project finance role within a Professional Services environment.
Experience in supporting project financial replanning and scenario analysis (‘what-if’ modelling).
Strong attention to detail, with a rigorous and methodical approach to financial administration.
Relevant professional qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is advantageous.
