- Investigates, analyses and corrects complex SCADA systems related problems
- Guides and provides technical leadership, support and training to members of the support staff.
- Keep abreast of technology, industry and business trends to ensure that appropriate technologies are being considered in the planning process that meet departmental and organizational requirements.
- Develops and prepares solutions, which may include application software, data modeling, and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and Security and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls, physical and cyber security.
- Ensures maximum reliability and uptime of the SCADA system, 24 hours per day and 7 days per week.
- Take part in the installation, recovery and development of RTU and related devices, programming, configuration and protocols
- Execute short-term and long-term Gas System Development planning.
- Maintains applications that support or are supported by the SCADA system.
- Designing SCADA HMI to improve usability including line displays, tabular reporting including display updating and troubleshooting.
- Installs, configures, and supports SCADA applications to provide the required level of functionality for Company operations.
- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of databases, historical and reporting systems associated with the primary and backup SCADA control centers.

- Experience with cyber security processes, tools, and technologies and extensive knowledge of best practices regarding their implementation in an Industrial Control System.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Working knowledge of information security issues, trends and leading practices.
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
- Minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Cybersecurity best practices
- Must have a valid U. S. driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
- Knowledge of Electric and/or Gas industrial control networks and operations technology.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, plus 8 years experience. Or in lieu of a degree, 12 plus years of relevant experience.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with RTU and/or PLC’s.
- Experience in SCADA systems design and analysis.
- Knowledge in Gas Pipeline Systems engineering
- Basic knowledge of computer programming (C/C++, Python, XML, bash and shell scripting, T-SQL, etc.)
- Fundamental knowledge of the installation, management, and support of computer system applications.
- Experience with AutoCAD/Microstation/other drafting software.
- Must have effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, strong planning and organizing skills, must be adaptable and be results-oriented.
- Knowledge of Communication protocols (MODBUS, ROC, BSAP, DNP3, etc.)
- Experience in administering Windows and Linux operating systems
- Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.
- Must possess the ability to read mechanical one-line diagrams and schematics.
