Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical (IC&E) Technician

Ensure that instrumentation and control systems are functioning correctly to maintain the safe and efficient operation of the LNG facility.
Work effectively with team members, establish good working relations with colleagues, and provide assistance with clean-up and housekeeping.
Perform additional tasks as required to support efficient LNG facility operation.
Utilize P&ID’s, plant drawings, wiring diagrams, control logic diagrams, and equipment manuals for preventative maintenance and repairs.
Prioritize safety utilizing the facility’s Safety Management System, safe work permits, lock-out/tag-out procedures and personal protective equipment.
Apply in-depth knowledge of PLCs, DCSs, relays, and control systems to diagnose and resolve issues.
Follow relevant procedures, redline, and create as needed to ensure safe and efficient operations in areas of assignment.
Create Work Requests for identified field maintenance needs.
Understand and follow regulatory requirements to ensure legal and safe facility operation.
Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical switchgear equipment. Work with electrical systems, including those operating at voltages up to 4,160 volts, ensuring they are in proper working order.
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of transmitters, transducers, valve actuators, valve positioners, Continuous Emission Monitoring System analyzers, gas chromatographs, BTU analyzers, and gas detection equipment.
Stay updated with industry advancements, regulations, and best practices related to IC&E systems to improve skills and knowledge.
Utilize hand and power-driven tools for maintenance and repair tasks.
Maximize LNG production and auxiliary equipment efficiency. Contribute to plant profitability by eliminating waste, maintaining productivity, and participating in maintenance activities.
Perform emergency operations to maintain electric service and safeguard station equipment as needed.
Write and maintain equipment logs and reports professionally. Keep records of repairs, maintenance, and calibration activities.

Proficient in interpreting and utilizing complex plant drawings, blueprints, P&IDs, and manuals.
Extensive experience as an Instrument, Controls, and Electrical (IC&E) Technician or in a similar role within a related industry is highly desirable, with prior experience in an operating or generating plant particularly valued. Experience in an LNG facility is a plus.
Capable of creating, redlining, and comprehending procedures and instructions specific to assigned areas.
Comprehensive knowledge of equipment layouts and plant systems.
Hands-on background working with voltages up to 4,160 volts.
Skilled in performing non-routine repairs and calibrations of transmitters, transducers, valve actuators, and valve limit-torque devices.
Must possess a valid, unrestricted U.S. driver’s license and ensure it remains in good standing at all times.
Strong ability to diagnose and resolve issues with PLCs, DCSs, and relays.
Adept at reading, interpreting, and responding to written instructions and logbook entries.
An Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology, Process Technology, or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, equivalent technical training in industrial maintenance or instrumentation and control is beneficial, though not required. Relevant industry or military experience may be considered in lieu of education on a year-for-year basis.
Known for collaborating effectively with colleagues, contributing in team settings, and applying creative solutions to unique IC&E challenges.
