Procurement Specialist

Description

• Review the quality of purchased products and resolve any discrepancies.
• Evaluate vendors by comparing products, prices, and services.
• Implement and enforce company procurement policies and procedures.
• Research and identify prospective suppliers to support business needs.
• Maintain and update supplier information, including qualifications, delivery times, and product ranges.
• Track and report key procurement metrics to reduce expenses and improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate purchase and pricing records.
• Expedite orders to ensure timely delivery for projects and operations.
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, including benchmarking.
• Obtain quotes and negotiate purchase orders with suppliers to secure the best terms and costs.
• Assess, manage, and mitigate procurement risks. Identify and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.

Requirements

• Understanding of supply chain procedures
• CIPS qualification advantage
• Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
• Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent or similar role,
• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
• Negotiation skills
• Preference degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration
