Property Accountant

Description

Requirements

• Post-secondary degree/diploma in accounting or related field;
• Actively pursuing a Canadian Accounting Designation (CA, CGA, or CMA) considered an asset;
• Good oral and written communication skills;
• Strong command of MS Office with emphasis on MS-Excel;
• Knowledge of Yardi property management systems considered an asset.
• Minimum 2-3 years of financial accounting experience;
• Able to work both independently and comfortably as part of a team;
• Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to multi-task;
• Detail-oriented with attention to accuracy; able to resolve problems using facts, sound reasoning and common sense;
• Strong follow-up skills with the ability to effectively resolve difficult issues in a timely manner;
• Strong aptitude for working in a deadline-oriented environment;
• Forward thinking with an ability to develop creative strategic solutions to issues;
• Experience in multi-residential property accounting preferred; and
