Operator, Highway Maintenance (Fox Creek)

Successful candidates will be responsible for winter and seasonal maintenance of Alberta highways, operating a range of heavy equipment such as snowplow trucks and wheel loaders. Work involves keeping the highway network safe and functional in all weather conditions, including tasks like crack sealing, pothole repair, and bridge cleaning. • Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required.
• Perform year‑round highway maintenance, including crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, and hazard remediation.
• Work may involve shift, on‑call, and night assignments responding to weather conditions.

Requirements

Applicants must pass pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing, be able to lift up to 50 lb, and possess a valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s licence with an air endorsement and a clear three‑year abstract. Prior experience operating a snowplow truck or wheel loader is considered a strong asset. The role may require shift work, on‑call availability, and night‑time assignments as weather patterns dictate.
