Senior Environmental Scientist - Brisbane

Description

• Overseeing complex fieldwork tasks, including soil, groundwater, surface water and vapour sampling
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and senior staff
• Work on challenging and rewarding projects across Australia, Asia-Pacific, Canada and the United States that contribute to better environmental outcomes
• Working closely with contaminated land auditors and industry leaders
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors and regulators
• Leading proposal preparation and project costing
• Preparing technical reports and client deliverables
• Leading delivery of PSIs, DSIs, RAPs for complex urban renewal, precinct level design and remediation projects (we are working on some of Queensland’s most complex remediation projects at present!)

Requirements

• Strong communication and technical writing skills
• Industry certification (CEnvP or CPSS) or keen interest to pursue this
• 7-10 years’ consulting experience in contaminated land
• Confidence in the field, with an eye for detail and technical excellence
• Solid understanding of QLD and national environmental frameworks (NEPM, EP Act, etc.)
• Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering or related discipline
