Maintenance Mechanic

Description

• Travel between multiple job sites using company or personal vehicle
• Complete interior and exterior painting projects using proper techniques and materials
• Perform carpentry tasks including repairs and installations
• Document work completed and maintain project records
• Estimate project requirements and order appropriate materials
• Hang, finish, and repair drywall and plaster surfaces
• Install and hang various wall coverings according to specifications
• Install tile work and replace ceiling tiles and carpet tiles as needed

Requirements

• Physical ability to perform overhead work while standing on ladders
• Experience with material estimation and project planning
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
• Experience with tile installation techniques
• Flexibility to bend, kneel, twist and reach in confined spaces like closets, crawl spaces, and attics
• General computer skills for documentation and communication
• Knowledge of ceiling tile and carpet tile replacement procedures
• Experienced painter and paperhanger with demonstrated skills
• Minimum 5 years progressive experience in multiple areas such as painting and carpentry
• Strong problem-solving skills for adapting techniques to different environments
• Adapt techniques and approaches based on specific location requirements
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work independently across multiple job sites
• General maintenance and carpentry experience
• Capability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds, frequently lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• High School Diploma or equivalent
