Responsible for designing transmission line projects, including line layouts, structure design, and foundation design. Serves as a technical specialist and supports Client-assigned tasks. Works under the direction of the Client and Project Manager to develop scopes, meet customer expectations, support pricing, perform engineering design, ensure quality, and manage resources to meet deadlines and profitability goals. May serve as Engineer of Record.
- Foster team communication, provide performance feedback, and stay current on engineering trends.
- Handle complex and large-scale transmission design projects.
- Provide technical guidance for proposals, project planning, scope development, cost estimates, schedules, and resource needs.
- Meet with vendors and select project materials/equipment.
- Conduct site investigations and prepare reports.
- Support project accounting, review time/expense charges, and oversee assignments of engineers and technicians.
- Serve as technical specialist and staff augmentation at Kansas City office (Tue–Thu) and in Overland Park or Lawrence (Mon & Fri).
- Lead and participate in all stages of project deliverables, including studies, design, plan production, specifications, bidding, contract administration, and sealing of engineering documents.

Bachelor’s in civil or related engineering field required.
5+ years relevant engineering experience preferred; P.E. licensure strongly preferred. Must obtain Kansas and Missouri licensure promptly.
Regular on-site work at Client offices. Clean driving record required.
Strong communication, problem solving, leadership, organizational skills, and proficiency in MS Office, PLS Suite (CADD, CAISSON, POLE), MFAD/LPile, and related tools. Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, collaborate, and embrace new technology.
