Utilize sound engineering practices and relevant mine planning software in the development of mine plans, budgets, forecasts, and costing reports
Prepare and present plans, reports and analyses to all levels of leadership, inside of Mine Technical Services and beyond
Manage data, perform consistently accurate calculations, and check work completed to fulfill assigned tasks
Administer existing tracking systems to ensure compliance with plans and budgets
Review with, present to, and obtain alignment from, all groups affected by the mine plan and cost performance objectives
Communicate with personnel in the mine’s Geotechnical/Geology, Mine Operations and Mine Maintenance departments, as required, to ensure all pertinent information is reflected in plans and reports

All levels of experience will be considered, with preference given to those candidates with demonstrated knowledge of surface mining operations, budget planning and cost analyses
Registration or eligibility for registration with APEGA
Experience working in a team environment and strong interpersonal and speaking skills
Bachelor’s degree in mining, geological, or civil engineering from an accredited university
