Group Lead - 1st Shift

Description

• Challenge standard approaches and find improved processes to get work done.
• Communicate with manager or supervisor regularly on team performance against goals and individual contributor progress, immediately elevating specific issues or concerns.
• Conduct regular safety meetings with the work group.
• Schedule daily work and direct team members to achieve safety, production, quality, and continuous improvement goals.
• Take ownership of issues in your work area and work proactively to solve issues (especially those related to safety and quality).
• Promote Safety as the Number One priority of all OMG employees.
• Support performance management process by contributing to the review process, disciplinary actions, and providing documentation related to performance.
• Build strong working relationships and encourage teamwork and collaboration.
• Confidently make changes that will improve the work area’s performance and move simple issues or problems forward.
• Lead by example by following and supporting OMG policies.
• Promote continuous Lean activity and follow through.
• Assist with production needs as necessary, including equipment setup and troubleshooting.
