Generate Rough Order of Magnitudes (ROMs) for potential projects
Monitor and compare planned vs. actual project costs and timelines, providing corrective recommendations as needed
Execute accurate quantity takeoffs and ensure proper materials pricing
Develop Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify project requirements and ensure competitive subcontractor engagement
Perform market research studies to inform cost estimating processes
Prepare various levels of estimates, including conceptual and construction-level estimates
Develop comprehensive scopes of work for bidding and estimating functions
Conduct detailed change order estimates for ongoing federal projects

Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction estimating, specifically comprehensive MEP estimating expertise across Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection disciplines
Strong understanding of UNIFORMAT classifications and federal/public-sector estimating standards
ASPE or AACEI Certification is preferred
Experience with MII (MCACES) and/or SUCCESS Estimator is a preferred advantage
Knowledge of the GSA Cost Estimating Workbook is beneficial
Consulting or owner's-representative background required (cost advisory, program/construction management, or related consulting services)
Must be able to pass a HSPD-12 background check
Experience with cost databases like RS Means is a plus
Familiarity with federal project scopes and specifications
Proficient in On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
