Maintenance Tech 2 Plant

Description

The Maintenance Technician II will support plant operations by executing preventive‑maintenance schedules, repairing equipment, and maintaining a reliable spare‑parts inventory. The role requires both proactive upkeep and rapid response to equipment failures to keep production rates high. • Execute preventive‑maintenance schedules and complete repair work orders in the CMMS.
• Troubleshoot and repair machines, controls, motors, drives, chillers, and related equipment.
• Order and manage spare parts and control components from suppliers.
• Serve as first responder for equipment issues and coordinate with Electrical Engineering when needed.
• Support daily management initiatives and lead continuous‑improvement projects.
• Collaborate with production staff to ensure safe and reliable plant equipment operation.
• Use electrical test equipment (voltmeter, ammeter, megger) and troubleshoot PLC I/O and networking.
• Apply Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out, arc‑flash safety, and PPE procedures.
• Perform root‑cause analysis, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lb, stand 8 hours, and work in extreme temperatures.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; basic PLC and drive training preferred.
• Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings; familiar with NEC, UL508A, NFPA 79 codes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
