Assess and advise on the Commercial risks and opportunities identified during the procurement process.
Establish and assist in the maintenance of “Term” Contracts.
Ensures that procurement activities are carried out in the most cost-effective manner.
Maintenance of an effective project material management system.
Establish and approve sources of materials both locally and overseas.
Select reliable sources of supply and supervise the purchasing of major items/services.
Maintain the Business Unit Register of suppliers and subcontractors.
Assist Project teams in procurement on an as-needed basis. This will include initiating Requests for Quotations, evaluating and negotiating contracts, and executing deliveries/services.
Prepares and issues reports as required.
Assist in the management of project procurement, preparing supplier, subcontractor, and consultant contract forms, ensuring appropriate forms and commercial terms are duly incorporated, and provide advice accordingly.
Control price and quality of goods/services procured and ensure the timely delivery of such goods/services.
Ensure the maintenance and continual improvement of procurement procedures.
Liaise and coordinate with project and site managers to provide day-to-day assistance and advice as required.
Participate in internal audits in consultation with the QSE Manager and the Commercial Manager.
Manage and promote the Business Unit Training of goods/services procurement and ensure the Business Unit’s training activities are planned to meet current and future organization and employee needs.

A relevant Tertiary Qualification is preferred but not essential.

Sound commercial acumen accompanied by proven negotiation and inter-relationship skills.
Competent in the use of procurement software.
