In this pivotal position you will oversee technology‑related operations, playing a key role in the digitisation and simplification of the business. You will be accountable for eMobility Technical Operations, initially focusing on building and leading a technical team and establishing foundational processes and systems for the core CSMS platform. You will act as the technical expert on the platform, a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, and provide second‑level support through escalations from the eMobility helpdesk.
Key responsibilities include building and mentoring a technical team, managing task and project pipelines, monitoring and maintaining eMobility systems for compliance, quality and reliability, and developing and updating technical documentation and procedures. You will also plan system capacity, availability and disaster recovery, collaborate with third‑party vendors, and conduct root‑cause analyses to drive operational improvements.

Shell Energy is excited to announce the newly created role of Technical Operations Lead – eMobility in its Melbourne team.
The role requires at least three years of technical operations leadership experience, strong infrastructure and vendor management skills, and proficiency in Agile delivery, network operations and field support. Experience in the eMobility, telecommunications or energy sectors and knowledge of industry standards such as CSMS and EVSE are highly desirable, as are expertise in LAN/WAN management, troubleshooting, embedded software and testing.

- Strong infrastructure design, implementation, support and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in Agile delivery practices, network operations and field support.
- Knowledge of eMobility industry standards and protocols such as CSMS and EVSE.
