Rf Test Technician

Description

• Manage tasks and priorities efficiently while adapting to changes in production requirements.
• Communicate technical information effectively internally and with clients.
• Define and construct test setups to measure VSWR, Insertion Loss, Group Delay, and Phase Variation for passive filtering products.
• Test and optimize Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) such as Bi-Directional and Tower Mounted amplifiers for public safety and carrier applications.
• Document new designs to ensure repeatability for future orders.
• Follow test procedures and complete comprehensive test reports for tested products.
• Perform RF testing using Network Analyzers, Power Meters, Noise Figure Meters, and other testing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and optimize discrete Power Amplifier Modules and Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs) during both prototype and production stages.
• Define and construct test setups to measure VSWR, Gain, Group Delay, Phase Variation, IP3, P3dB compression points, Noise Figure, and Harmonics for narrow and broad band high power amplifiers.

Requirements

• Strong skills in board repair, electronics, and soldering.
• Proficiency in component level troubleshooting and testing.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; AutoCAD is a plus.
• Experience with testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and other laboratory test equipment.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in testing and optimizing active/passive discrete RF components.
• Proficiency in English for reading and speaking.
• Ability to work well both in a team and independently.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating procedures.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and engineering diagrams.
• Read and understand electronic and mechanical blueprints.
