The engineer will support the design of public infrastructure, prepare construction drawings, technical specifications, contract documents, and produce engineering reports, feasibility studies, and utility evaluations. Coordination with agency staff and internal teams will be essential, using tools such as AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam, MicroStation, and the Microsoft Office Suite for calculations, reports, and presentations.
- Assist project team in design of public infrastructure work
- Prepare construction drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents
- Produce engineering reports, feasibility studies, and utility evaluations
- Create design drawings and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam, and MicroStation
- Coordinate designs, analysis, and issues with agency staff and internal support teams
- Develop calculations, reports, letters, and presentations using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Generate construction drawings, grading plans, profiles, and details with AutoCAD Civil3D/MicroStation
- Apply competent technical skills to complete engineering tasks
- Proactively pursue design solutions and remain open to others' ideas

Ideal candidates are outgoing, team‑oriented, and possess strong communication and active‑listening skills. They should be proficient in Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, Outlook, and Microsoft Project, and have solid technical abilities to solve design challenges while being detail‑oriented and flexible.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or be able to obtain one within 6‑12 months) and an Engineer‑in‑Training certificate (or be able to obtain within 6‑12 months). Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D software is required.
